How to sell a Telegram gift: Marketplace vs Fragment (2026)

Short answer: there are two ways to sell a collectible Telegram gift. List it for Stars in Telegram's Gift Marketplace for the simplest in-app route. Or export it to the blockchain through Fragment and sell it for TON. The first keeps value inside Telegram; the second needs 2FA, a wallet and comfort with crypto risk.

Can the proceeds become cash?

Stars sale: Stars are designed for gifts, bots, Mini Apps, paid content and other Telegram purchases. Do not assume that a personal Marketplace balance can be sent straight to a bank card.

TON sale: a blockchain marketplace pays TON to your wallet. Turning it into local currency may require a lawful exchange or P2P service. Check the rate, fees, identity requirements and local rules before transacting.
